On behalf of the Board of Directors (BOD) of the Crop Science Society of the Philippines (CSSP), we welcome you to the CSSP webpage.
The CSSP for the last 41 years since its organization in 1970 has been promoting human welfare through the discovery and dissemination of knowledge concerning the nature, utilization, improvement and interrelationships of plants and their environment, and not the least of all, the people.
The society continuously seek to promote basic and applied research on crops and related science; foster high quality education in crop science; encourage professional advancement among its members; make current information available to workers in related fields and to the public; and cooperate with other organizations in the solution of problems encountered in crop production. Thus the CSSP holds yearly scientific conference and publishes The Philippine Journal of Crop Science (PJCS). Scientific exchange during the plenary talks, concurrent scientific and poster sessions have provided participants with science-based information on the possible strategies to address these problems. Thus, the attendees of the conference made a Declaration on the theme: Public-Private Partnership for Sustainable Agricultural Research, Development and Extension as follows:
With this declaration, we hope that more people especially stakeholders of agriculture industry will be interested to become member of CSSP and more researches and related activities will be undertaken to generate more advance knowledge and technologies that could be shared and utilized for the welfare of the Filipinos.
