The Crop Science Society of the Philippines will hold its 48th Scientific Conference in the City of Legazpi on July 2 – 7, 2018 in cooperation with the Bicol University College of Agriculture and Forestry, DA-Regional Field Office 5, Provincial Government of Albay through the Provincial Agricultural Office, and the City Government of Legazpi. The theme of the conference is “Crop science innovations: Express path towards countryside development” to highlight the recent developments in crop science research, extension, and education needed to propel agricultural sustainability and development in the countryside.
The conference will serve as a venue to exchange scientific ideas and strategies that will address pressing issues confronting the long standing goal of countryside development amidst changing political and natural environments. This exchange will be conducted through various plenary and concurrent scientific paper and poster presentations, agri-entrepreneurs’ forum, and best paper competition.
The conference fee of PhP 4,500.00 (for members) and PhP 5,000.00 (for non-members) will cover participation in the scientific sessions, morning and afternoon snacks and lunch for three (3) days, one volume of PJCS, conference materials and certificates. Accommodation and travel costs are not included. Undergraduate students rates will be made available.
